Multimedial Hut invites everyone to join them for performance of ”Ja pa ti pa mi” Episode Strangers, on 25 November 2017 in Children’s Theatre Dubrava, (Cerska 1, 10 000 Zagreb) as a part of manifestation European theatre night.

”Na lives settled life. Her clothes are tidy and ironed, nails are clean and clipped, and curls do not stick out just like that. When she walks, Na jumps properly, and if she had a mustache, it would be carefully combed. And the space throughout she moves reveals similar harmony – everything is somehow settled, under right angles, hold on to order, care about things. The contours of her world are clear, but boundaries are firm. And the dark, in which Na sleeps is calm, dreams don´t bring surprises. And so it would be until who knows when, if La didn´t show up. She came, it appears, from far away, bringing just the bag which rustles and buzz, jingles and bangs. Na is upset and at first doesn’t accept a newcomer, but something is attractive in her, a little dusty and marine, something sunny and noisy, something different…”
Episode Strangers, as part of a series “Ja pa ti pa mi“, invites for (dis) talk about solitude and friendship, communication and misunderstandings, the coexistence throughout the acceptance of the other and different, realizing the values of their own and others’ virtues and fortune that each of us brings to the community with everything what is and with a skills that she/he possesses.
“Ja pa ti pa mi“ is a serial of interactive, interdisciplinary performing events for children and preschool earlier elementary school age. It emerges as a result of the collaboration of visual artist Tonka Maleković, musician Lane Juranić and dance artist Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović and as a continuation of long years of research-educational-performing project for children (and adults) “JOd slona do balona“ (“From the balloons to the elephant“), which Multimedijalna koliba carried out from 2014., besides the mentioned three artists, part of a team of authors of the episode Strangers is a dance artist and musician Nastasja Štefanić.
Three years ago, project “Od balona do slona“ was launched with the goal to research new forms of learning about art and throughout art and spreading the interest for contemporary artistic expressions, especially in younger population. The emphasis is, from the very start, on the interdisciplinary approach, improvisation and promotion of the active participation of the attendees / audience in the creative process.
After the project was developed for two years through various, primarily workshop format – for children and parents, in the interior, in public place ITD. – through a series of theatrical events Ja a ti pa mi, we want to put our present experiences in service of performances as a collective creative event.
