VRUM Performing Arts Collective is announcing the Croatian premier date of “DOODLEDEE, it’s me”. “DOODLEDEE, it’s me” is a playful and poetic visual dance-theatre performance for the little ones, created by Dance Theatre Ljubljana (PTL) and AEIOU, The Theatre for Babies and Toddlers (Slovenia/Finland), and in co-production with VRUM Performing Arts Collective. The premiere took place in Dance Theatre Ljubljana (PTL) on the January 29, 2016, with new date of croatian premier scheduled for April 17, 2016 at 17:00 in Pogon Jedinstvo, Zagreb, during the KLIKER festival (Platforma HR). The authors of the play are director and choreographer Sanja Frühwald, artist Katja Kähkönen from Finland, sculptor Mateja Ocepek from Slovenija and Katja Povše, award-winning Slovenian puppeteer.
Doodledee it’s me! is a playful and poetic visual dance-theatre performance for the little ones. Doodledeeis a study of how young children perceive themselves at different stages of their development. They grow and become more conscious of their bodies. It is essential to support the growth of a healthy body self-esteem. The performance is visually based on children’s drawings of themselves during the first six years of their lives. The performance is a story of self-discovery: I am. I can. It is an ode to the body – inspiring and admiring.
