„Doodledee, it’s me“, a visual dance-theatre performance for the youngest, produced by Dance theatre Ljubljana and baby and toddler theatre AEIOU (Slovenia/Finland) in coproduction with VRUM artistic organization is performing on two festivals in Slovenia – Kalejdoskop in Kranj and Fronta in Murska Sobota.
Kalejdoskop is a festival of contemporary theatre art, taking place in Kranj and Ljubljana from June 4 to June 12 this year. “Doodledee, it’s me” performance is scheduled on the June 6th, at 10:30 in Škrlovec and with free admission for the performance.
Fronta is a contemporary dance festival happening for the 11th time this year, from 1 – 3 September, 2016 in Murska Sobota. “Doodledee, it’s me” performance is scheduled in the September 2nd at 9:30 in Gledališče Park.

Doodledee it’s me! is a playful and poetic visual dance-theatre performance for the little ones. Doodledeeis a study of how young children perceive themselves at different stages of their development. They grow and become more conscious of their bodies. It is essential to support the growth of a healthy body self-esteem. The performance is visually based on children’s drawings of themselves during the first six years of their lives. The performance is a story of self-discovery: I am. I can. It is an ode to the body – inspiring and admiring.
The authors of the performance, with director and choreographer Sanja Tropp Frühwald, are artist Katja Kähkönen from Finland, sculptore Mateja Ocepek and Katja Povše, an award-winning puppeteer, both from Slovenia. Premier of the performance was held on the January 29th in Dance theatre Ljubljana in Slovenia, with croatian premier held on KLIKER festival (Platforma HR) on the April 17th.
